All of the ice skating instructors at the Community First Igloo are certified by the Professional Skaters Association and have been recognized by the “Excellence on the Ice” National Award Program. This ensures that the highest level of training is available to our members and skating students.
“Excellence on the Ice” recognition means that the Community First Igloo is a nationally recognized rink and club that requires all of our training staff and instructors to have 100% PSA Certification. In addition to this certification, all instructors must carry personal liability insurance and maintain a rating in the discipline of their choice. Professional Skaters Association certification provides assurance to rinks, parents, and students that ice skating instructors are technically qualified to instruct in the field they are hired to teach, regardless of past participation or accomplishments on the ice.
