All Abilities Day
Presented by CSX
Our quarterly All Abilities Day welcomes people of all ages and abilities with their families to enjoy a fun and interactive ice experience. Our goal is to meet you at your comfort level on the ice. This event is dedicated to accessibility and inclusion in ice sports for our community!
Brooks Rehab IceBreakers
Sled hockey is an adaptation of ice hockey for individuals with physical disability.
Sled hockey provides opportunities for many types of disabilities at the local level for recreation/competition, all the way to teams that play in World Championships and the Paralympics.
The Brooks IceBreakers are an inclusive team comprising both children and adults with diverse abilities, making them an exceptional team. Brooks Rehabilitation provides all necessary equipment at no cost, and no prior experience is required to participate. Monthly practices are held on Saturdays at the Community First Igloo.
If you would like more information about the Brooks Icebreakers sled hockey team, please email PediatricRecreation@BrooksRehab.org or call (904) 316-7916.
Jax Jets Adaptive Hockey Club
The Jax Jets Adaptive Hockey team is dedicated to making hockey accessible for athletes of all abilities in the Jacksonville area. Founded in 2023 and a member of the American Special Hockey Association, we provide a safe, inclusive, and fun environment where players with physical and developmental challenges can learn, grow, and thrive on the ice.
Their mission is to empower their athletes, foster teamwork, and build a supportive community through the game of hockey.
